How you can help our seminarians
Special collection on January 20 & 21, 2007.

Educating seminarians is an investment in the future of our Church.  Like any higher education experience, the cost to prepare men for the priesthood continues to rise.

  • The average cost to educate one seminarian is over $100 a day for every day he is in formation. This cost includes tuition, room, board and fees at one of the seminaries.
  • 100% of the annual seminarian education collection supports the education of men studying for the priesthood.
  • The collection is the source of funding for seminarian education.
  • A minimum gift of $50 to $100 from every adult or family attending Mass would go a long way to pay for one day of tuition for our current seminarians.

You can use either the special Seminarian Collection envelope from your parish or the special envelope distributed in the parishes to make a generous contribution to the Diocesan Seminarian Fund. You can drop the envelope into the parish collection on January 20 & 21.  You can also mail the envelope directly to the Office of Vocations.  Your parish will receive credit for your gift. Checks should be made to: RCBM Seminarian Education Fund.
